The little Rock is in the state of Arkansas and was relatively progressive plus it's a southern state.
The students with excellent grades were chosen to attend at Central High.
On the first day of school there was only one student showed up because she did not receive the phone call about the danger going on at school.
She was harassed by whites outside of the school and the police took her in the patrol car to protect her.
The military carpooled the students to school in there military jeeps.
